I never got a chance to go over to Nickie's on Tuesdays for Cheb i Sabbah's nights -- I've been living near the Blue Cube. Transportation without a car between the two spots is a pain.
Now I'm moving to the lower haight this month, and Cheb i Sabbah's night is now at the Blue Cube, not Nickie's! Argh! I was excited that I'd be right down the street from this event every Tuesday!
Any other similar events in the lower haight?

I just started a monthly in LH the next one is Aug 11th @ Underground SF. I sub for Cheb when he is away and members of Dhamaal (www.dhamaalsf.com, dhamaal.tribe.net) play at the event. Def not Chebiji's style but it is beat driven world music.
The number 7 (an 71 i think)bus actually goes from LH to the blue cube - almost door to door. -

I attend a lot of Dhamaal events. I'll check out the bus lines too for Blue Cube, my current apartment is just far enough away from the bus lines to go to LH, but when I move the buses won't be an issue.
If there are any other world music, especially an "asian underground" or what-have-you, in the LH I'd love to hear about them in the future!
